How it works

1

Upload the spreadsheet

Add your XLSX or XLS file. If the workbook has several sheets, check which sheets you want represented in the final PDF.

2

Render as PDF

The spreadsheet is converted into pages using its layout, print area, headers, footers, charts, and visible values.

3

Download and inspect

Open the PDF and check page breaks, wide columns, totals, charts, and whether any important rows or columns were clipped.

About Excel to PDF

Excel to PDF is for sharing a spreadsheet exactly as a document. Invoices, budgets, schedules, price lists, reports, and tables can look different when opened in another spreadsheet app. PDF makes the output easier to print, email, archive, or upload to a portal. The hard part is page layout. Wide sheets can shrink until text is tiny. Hidden rows may stay hidden. Print areas, page breaks, headers, footers, charts, and formulas all affect the final PDF. If the spreadsheet was not prepared for printing, the PDF may technically convert but still be hard to read. Before converting, check the active sheet, print area, page orientation, and whether formulas show values. After converting, open the PDF and inspect page breaks, clipped columns, chart placement, and totals.

Updated June 2026: Added print-layout guidance for sheets, page breaks, wide tables, headers, footers, formulas, charts, and sharing spreadsheets as PDFs.
