Choose PNG when sharp text, diagrams, line art, or screenshots matter. Choose JPG when the page is mostly photographic or when a smaller file matters more. Higher resolution exports look sharper, especially for print, but they can become large quickly. Remember that exported images are raster files. Text that was selectable in the PDF becomes pixels in the image. If you need editable text, use PDF to Word or Extract Text instead.
